How did the KIKK project happen?
VV Vinayak, Dolly (Kishore Parthasani) and myself were roommates around 10 years back. It had been my ambition to introduce him as a director. He narrated me a few stories and I liked KIKK. Then I made him narrate the story to D Suresh Babu. The script was written with Siddhardh in mind and Siddhardh accepted it. We wanted to cast a fresh girl, but could not find any. We had Tamanna as the back-up option. When we approached Tamanna, she quoted a high price. But she did it for a reasonable amount after listening to the script.

What is the story of KIKK?
We tend to do difficult things with love when we fall in love. KIKK talks about those feelings. It is a love story. It has family emotions that were never touched in Telugu films. It is a youth film with family orientation.

KIKK is all about moral values in life. It is a clean and healthy film. There will not be a single cut from censor for KIKK.

Tell us about the music of the film?
Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy are doing for the first time in a Telugu film. They are all full of positive energy. They scored rich music. There are six full songs and two bit songs in the film. All the songs in this film are situational except for one.

What are the other strengths of the film?
I feel that writing department of KIKK is very strong. The screenplay of KIKK is written by Vikram Siri and Deepak. Both these guys are of director material and they worked very hard for this film. I am going to produce a film each with Deepak and Vikram Siri. Abburi Ravi, Sirivennela, Chandra Bose, Chinni Charan and Rama Jogaiah Sastri also worked hard for this film.

The only film that suffered the ticket price disparity was Chintakayala Ravi. Do you feel bad about it?
There is no unity in producers. More than the ticket prices, I attribute the piracy as the most damaging concern for any film. There is rampant audio piracy and video piracy.

What steps do you think will prevent piracy?
The film chamber should lobby with the government to bring in strict rules against piracy. The punishment given to pirates should be more severe. Like Hindi films, we should let the DVD come out in three weeks of release so that pirates will not have a chance to capitalize the craze of a newly released film. We should also start having multistarrers with big heroes.

There are rumors that KIKK could be inspired by Hum Tum (When Harry Met Sally)?
If you prove it to me that KIKK is inspired by any other film, I will leave the film industry. KIKK is an original script.

What is your gut feel on KIKK?
I am proud of KIKK. It is a clean film made on moral values. At the same time it is thoroughly entertaining. This film explores certain issues of importance to the parents and youth. I am happy with KIKK and waiting to release it in the month of January 2009.

Tell us about your future projects?
My next film will has NTR as hero. Harish Shankar will direct it. Deepak is going to make his debut as director with another film which stars Venkatesh as hero. I am also making another film introducing Vikram Siri as the director. As of you, I finalized thesethree films.
