PHOONK :

RJV’s much hyped film Phoonk is a superstitious film for sure but it is a well crafted film also, which works.

But don’t go by the contest the film makers are offering. You may surely watch this film alone as it is not as scary as it should be.

Phoonk is one of the best movie of RJV and a must watch.

Story:

It is a story of a construction engineer Rajeev [Sudeep] who lives happily with his wife and two children. He doesn’t believe in dark forces. But, one day an evil enters his home and threatens to destroy his family and shake up the very foundations of his convictions and beliefs.

Pick Points:

This is movie which is released with a high intensified hype. Luckily, it does not disappoint you with the final outcome. There are few scary moments in the film which chill our nerves. The camera work is superb. The lighting and background score adds value to a well written script.

The performances are uniformly good. Sudeep, Amruta Khanvilkar, Baby Ahsaas Channa make a strong impression. Ashwini Kalsekar is top notch. There is excellent support from Zakir Hussain, Ganesh Yadav, K.K. Raina and Lilette Dubey.

Weak Points:

It is fantastic film but it is dark film as well. It puts emphasis on black magic. So watch it for mere entertainment, if you wish to.

Finally:

Phoonk is a RGV style dark film which let you chill and thrill. There are no big stars in the film, but then there is no need to. Just sit and enjoy the magic which over powers you.
